This record is inspired by the people of Blackpool and the Fylde Coast.
The album does evoke a sense of place or a certain landscape through its sound. It isn't a specific place or even a real one, but it does bring with it a sense of longing and hurt. You know it's probably best to move on, but you still have a certain fondness for it (however rose-tinted those feelings might be). Pierre Conrad
There is a lot of bands in the psych-pop scene. But Doug Tuttle is one of the few that sticks out for me. This album has so many beautiful, simple, out of time melodies that it's hard not to keep coming back to it. Brilliant stuff. AAAAAaarrhhhhhhh
